An exciting blend of action, adventure, and spice
An exciting blend of action, adventure, and spice, this story kept me on edge, never quite sure where the next twist would lead. The chemistry between Merek and Arcadia is dark and intense, making every encounter unforgettable. The world of Kartesia is full of political intrigue and hidden histories, that continued to pull me in deeper with each revelation. It was a true delight to unravel its mysteries alongside the characters. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

“Impatient for the next book”
I loved this book and was surprised to discover it’s June Le Blanc’s debut novel.
The characters are multi-dimensional, with layers that slowly peel-off, as the story progresses – as does the plot itself. The tie-ins as the book progresses is wonderfully done.
A exciting page-turner with twists and turns that kept me past time to put-down. I simply won’t say anything about the ending except that I’m ready to snatch up the next in the series the moment it’s released.

The characters are unique, captivating, and enthralling. Arcadia is such a beautifully complex character and I loved getting a glimpse into her mind. The chemistry between Arcadia and Merek is both terrifying and addicting.
Arcadia and Merek aren’t the whole characters that captivated me. Both Yered and Brajan are equally as full and complete. They both add so much to the tension of the story and to helping build the world.
The writing is so descriptive and beautiful. This story kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time and had my jaw dropping from unexpected twists.
I cannot recommend this book enough!
